Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke 11/4/07
The name of this book had nothing to do with the storyline at all. I wonder if she came first or the Goldy Bear ones?
Hannah Swensen owns a cookie store in a small Minnesota town called Lake Eden. Her friend, Ron, is murdered and she decides to help out the local police - among whom is her brother in law, Bill. Hannah is frustrated frequently when The Most Likely Suspect turns out to have an alibi. The real murderer isn’t anyone that was on her radar at all.
I think it’s a fun book and I will very likely read others in the series if I’m out of other things to read. And I’m very likely going to be soon since I’ve read all the Goldy Bear, all the Anita Blake, all the Queen Betsy and all of the Sookie Stackhouse. Well, QB and SS have new books out but they are only in hardcover and I don’t like either enough to buy their books in hardcover. Perhaps I’ll get lucky and they’ll have them at the library.
