It starts a little slow, but definitely builds and gets better with each book! I haven't read Coraline, but the movie (which my husband says was a bit different from the book) was cute. I LOVED Neil Gaiman's Graveyard Book. I actually listened to the audiobook, which he narrates himself. Excellent stuff. I've always wanted to check out the Shannara series. I'll be interested in your impressions. The Andrews and Briggs are great stuff. Like Kat Richardson, Ilona Andrews books just keep getting better! The Mead is fun YA Vampire goodness.
